Your investments & data are safe at Selma, no matter what

Trust and safety are always important aspects. That’s why the security of our clients' investment and their data is our topmost concern. Read here how Selma ensure the security and privacy of your investments and data.

Read all details in Selma’s Security FAQ’s. 🔐

You are always in full control of your investments

When you invest with Selma, you will get a new, secured investment account at our custodian bank Saxo Bank (Switzerland) Ltd.  Selma uses their secure interfaces to manage your money. This bank account is opened in your name. This means that, no matter what happens, you will always stay the owner of it.

In the event that the Selma would get acquired, goes public or (unlikely) would even close, your money and investments would stay completely safe as you remain always the owner of them. In the very unlikely scenario that our custodian bank Saxo, would go bankrupt, your investments would be still safe as Saxo Bank underlies the Swiss deposit guarantee of 100’000 CHF.

You can add and withdraw money at any time

It’s completely free. Selling your investments and transferring the money to another bank account can take up to one week. Apart from monthly service payments, Selma will never withdraw money or securities from your account.

Your data is encrypted in-flight and treated with utmost care

We perform periodic internal, as well external security reviews performed by independent and reputable security consulting firms. Selma’s infrastructure is compatible with multiple compliance programs such as ISO 27001, PCI Level 1, SOC 1 and SOC 2/SSAE 16/ISAE 3402, FISMA.

Also, your personal Selma account is secured by two-factor authentication. It prevents attackers from accessing your account using a stolen password. To turn on two-factor authentication right now, head on to your Selma user profile and follow the instructions there.
